Non-Resident Deer Back Tags 1942 - Present
‚ÄčNon Resident Deer Back Tags are very noticeable with the big "N" located right in front of the number. These followed the same various formats as the residents through Wisconsin history, including the change to the "tear-off" style in 1983 and A.L.I.S. in 1999. One interesting difference from the Resident Back Tags is from 1968-1976 hunters were able to purchase either "Non-Resident Deer" or "Non-Resident Deer & Bear" Back Tags. This can be seen below in the examples of the two different back tags for the years 1969, 1973, and 1975. In the late 1990s the "N" was removed and Non-Resident Back Tags were distinguished from Resident Back Tags by the higher number that began with a "9."
